1. New ways to qualify
Some of the criteria have been adjusted to give households greater flexibility in meeting the requirements!
What is a Direct Current fan?
DC fans use Direct Current (DC) motors which are more energy efficient compared to those which use Alternating Current (AC) motors. They are typically labelled as “DC” by manufacturers and retailers. They currently do not carry an energy label.
DC fans usually use less electricity and have adjustable speed settings. Saving energy while staying cool? Sounds like a win-win!
2. More chances to win
Revised award tiers are here to give households more chances to win! There’s now a Bronze award for those that meet 3 out of 7 criteria while the rewards for the Gold and Silver awards have gone up.
3. All North West residents can qualify
North West residents living in both HDB or private property (condo or landed) are eligible to join Green Homes @ North West as long as they meet the relevant criteria.
Bonus: Bigger Savings For Your Family!
With the enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme (CFHP), eligible HDB households will get an additional $100 worth of Climate Vouchers, on top of the existing $300. Plus, the programme has been extended to Singapore Citizen households living in private properties, so even more households can benefit!

Reminder! Claim your vouchers between 15 April 2025 to 31 December 2027.

In 2024, 536 households in the North West were certified as Green Homes.
Your household could be next! Here are some tips on how to qualify:
*Under Green Homes @ North West, air-conditioners only require a 3-tick rating. However, Climate Vouchers can only be used to purchase air-conditioners with a 5-tick rating.

Note: All homeowners are only entitled to receive one award under Green Homes @ North West. All previous homeowners who have received an award under Green Homes @ North West are not eligible to reapply for the programme.
